Posted February 15, 2019. Yes. Simply install over your present Vortex installation. If you're worried about losing mods, then first do a backup. (It's always good to have backups anyway.) I've never lost any mods with Vortex installs, and I've been using Vortex for a year. But I still backup everything. 1.

Vortex not only deleted my "mods" folder, but also the "download" folder is empty. That sucks. I did do the update as well and this didn’t happen.I don't know how it got there because Vortex stores mods elsewhere. I had also uninstalled this version a long time ago and replaced it with a current one. In any case, the automatic update worked perfectly after manually deleting this folder. Downloaded the recommended SKSE update "if you are using the latest version on steam use the AE build 1.6.1130" and followed the instructions.
