He confirmed that I definitely have the wrong booster, our supplier should have sold us the PB8536-1 which is for 66-70 b bodies. 70-74 E bodies and 71 -74 B bodies take the PB8536-2. Remove the shifter knob which is held in place with an allen screw. Open the console door lid. There are 2 screws that hold the console lid. Remove them and slide the lid back off the front bracket.
