My girlfriend owns a 2018 Acadia that we have taken on several road trips. Last fall we drove it roughly 9 hours one way and when we got to our destination it began not reaching running temperatures and saying that the "Steering Assist" was reduced. The fan also stays on consistently. I cannot remember what we did but eventually it just stopped.
MSRP on the pump is $191 (GM Partsdirect.com price is $99.32). Although not a planned repair, that doesn't seem like too high of a price to replace one if the need should arise.
