HBG has an option to equip a shield tho. With guard 5, tune up 1, Embolden 3 and some lvls of guard up as needed, HBG can tank majority of monster attacks. Spam Sticky 2/3 ammo to stun the monster, and Exhaust to tire it. Unload Cluster when it's stunned/tired. Use Sleep to capitalize on Wyvern ammo. I think that would be the way to go. By comparison, when I play Pierce HBG I usually average around 25%-30% depending if I run a shield setup or not. Shield ranges from 20-25% and shieldless 25-30%. This is mostly because Val's wings and Serg's legs are amazing hitzones so Setting Sun + HBG's naturally faster fire rate start to add up.
