Given the builds above, you can create a good Magus with almost every race: anything with a boost to str, dex or int is a decent choice. Of course, small races should avoid the strength build. Sword Saint, Eldridge Scion, and arcane Archer are all quite good. But all of the Magus archetypes are very micro-intensive, and probably aren't even worth playing unless you plan to use turn based combat heavily. Str does more damage, dex has more AC. Onto the actual build itself: One of the reasons to go Dex over Str for a Magus is that most dex-based weapons are crit-fishers. Aka they have ridiculous high crit modifiers with many being 18-20. Bladebound does restrict your blade to no modifiers, but you can still put keen on it as early as 3rd.

That is the biggest hurdle for this build imo. You won't be a full gunslinger, so won't have your way reload until later levels to help even out your action economy. And Magus in general is already pretty action starved. Starlit is less so than the melee centric ones, but spellstrike being 2 actions makes it tough to fit in reload actions.
