in pve nightmare the question is mainly not dps but why bring a dps sorc when a sniper brings a raid-wide shield to soak damage for the whole raid for a pretty long time, and a merc brings reflect to cheese some boss enrage mechanics/ makes dpsing certain bosses easier. Stormwatch ticks for decent damage and should get several ticks during each window and adds considerable sustained damage to supplement the discipline’s already quite strong burst DPS.
