Don't forget you have a swapped motor in a 4x4, which are harder to find headers for. But a lot of people will stick with the factory LS manifolds as they actually flow pretty well, unless you are getting into cam swaps etc. But if staying fairly stock, it's probably not worth the hassle to do headers. The motors got a cam and ported heads.

I have a 5.3 with a 1997 4L60e as daily driver and have put 10k miles since the swap. U have to get the adapter for the flexplate and longer bolts. Also install a corvette servo and it helps the trans as well as a trans cooler and u should be fine.M14 x 1.5 to 6AN - Found HERE. The Hot Rod fuel hose Return-Less LS swap kit, for a return-less system you will need 20ft of hose if mounting the corvette regulator/filter close to the tank. And on coolant temp you can add a stock range sensor to pass side of ls or you can change the ls temp sensor for the f body 3 wire but it gauge is off 10ish degrees. 1 flexplate spacer-GM p/n 12563532. The oil pressure gauge and coolant temp will reuse the existing sensors/wiring you will just need adapters for the 6.0 threads/ports. Speedometer should be one wire output from the 6.0 ecm that connects to one wire from the DRAC box behind the glove box (may have to adjust output from the 6.0 ecm).

Vortec 383 or LS swap for GMT400 Tow Pig/Daily Driver. The 305 in my '97 Sierra is going through more and more coolant. It's only a matter of time before the intake gaskets need to be replaced. Since it currently has 190k miles, I don't think it's worth getting that far without doing a rebuild.
