Its a lot smoother and still looks pretty AF. Yes, the PS5 Versions performs worse than the PS4 one played on PS5 even tho it looks exactly the same. Especially in Bozjan and Zadnor the CEs are a lag fest. Digital Foundry mentions this in their Video about XIV.

If you run at 4K, the in game mouse is tiny (doesn't scale right). So if you enable software mouse to increase mouse size, it also causes mouse lag. The amount of mouse lag is dependent on FPS. Thing is, i could play FF14 no problem with a video on the side. Now, though, if FF14 is focused on the main monitor, the second monitor (60Hz) will lag and stutter a lot.
