For loader, backhoe, and pulling, the 25hp is more than enough for me. The l2501 has a large and lazy engine that produces a ton of torque, so it's going to feel like it has more grunt than smaller 25hp machines. I have an L3901 and love it. Get a backhoe with the thumb and you can drag logs out of tight situations.
