5075E shifter problem. Shifter will move through all ranges, but the tractor is like it is in neutral. When you find a gear the tractor will operate normally, but if you attempt to shift gears then it will not move. This condition took a while to figure what was going on.

My 7210 John Deere (5300hrs) with power quad transmission has gradually got worse at jumping out of B range. I've adjusted the linkage several times but it's never really help much. It only jump out when switching from another range, to B.Now to help you find your problem. 1) Remove the cowling that goes over the top of the dash. You need to be able to see the shifter, latch and quadrant/drums. 2) Shift the tractor to the first range back out of park. (1st, 3rd and low reverse) Then move the shifter to the right into the speed drum.It is possible a stick or something could have caught a wire and torn it or pulled a connector loose. The seat switch also has to be operating properly for the reverser to work. The reverser lever itself could be bad, the control box, pressure sensor, clutch pedal sensor are all possibilities also.
