The cog railway is a fantastic trip up to the summit of Pikes Peak. Beautiful scenery! Hopefully the tracks will be clear so you can do it. Luckily the tracks were clear of snow, and we made it up to the top. Unfortunately, there was 8 feet of snow on the ground, and the crew had to shovel their way into the gift shop.

5 days ago · Well maintained, comfortable cog railway that gives you an excellent means of visiting the peak even in wintry conditions. I was particularly pleased to see very good enforcement of sensible COVID-19 safety protocols, with which everyone was complying. The commentary along the route was informative and witty without getting too cheesy. The train is roomy and comfortable. There are two seats on one side of the train and three on the other-side. The views from the three seat side are slightly better but the views from either side are incredible. Once you reach the summit the views are panoramic and the picture taking is easy-breezy.
