If you want to build an L-shaped layout, it could incorporate a 64" wide portion at each end of the L to permit 30" radius curves. If the L-shaped layout were 48" high, I would limit the width of the straight portions of the L to 30" for easy access. Again, it all depends on the size of the footprint available for the actual layout.
