I have a 71 LT-1. As you guys know, it came with a holley carb. List #4801. I was recently made aware that there are 3 numbers stamped on the side. 1)GM part number. 2)Holley List number. 3)Date code (3 or 4 digit) The question i have is the date code, can anyone shed light on the date code. The differences between the 3 digit/4 digit.the bottom number of the three is the date code, if after 1972 it would be four digits - prior to that it was usually three numbers (in cases of Nov and Dec the last character was an A or B).
