I used Deep Mob Learning to get my first 8 essence. After that, harvesting the seed sometimes yields an extra seed, which can be uncrafted to give back the essence it's made of. If you want to utterly cheese mystical agriculture, four uncrafted inferium seeds produces enough essence to get your inferium seed to the next tier.
Prosperity can not be grown from a seed. However, you can easily farm them through quarrying and laser ore mining. Not much prosperity is needed for the mod, it is much more inferium reliant which is why you can grow inferium seeds. Prosperity ore is also found pretty common in the end and the nether. Like others said, crop sticks allow you to breed them, but then you end up with a lot of non/stackable seeds. So I don't recommend this unless you go all out and max all their stats. Simply break the plants when they mature and you have a chance to get inferium seed duplicates.
