Oct 19, 2022 · This is very cool, I've been looking at more information on B58 swaps because the N55 in my 435 isn't doing particularly great.. when it blows I really want to swap a B58 because I dislike the N55. I also saw someone with a 2015 320xi pre-lci manage to have a B58 swapped into his F30. N55/B58 swap into N20 Touring. N55/B58 swap into N20 Touring. Before we begin, I have an F31 Touring, which was only offered in the US with the N20/N26, B48 or N47. Never dealt with any serious repairs asides from usual maintenance like oil changes every 5k etc. Great power output and reliability from my experience. I would get another B58 car if I could. I have a 2012 328 that suffered from oil starvation. Rod knock occurred, and I found that my oil level was far below minimum. $1200 later and still in a very crap situation, I'm stopping all repairs on this engine that has 105,000 miles. I've found a few salvaged vehicles with N20 and B48 engines.
