Thousand cuts + Ophidia Spathe is currently the best combo outside of Gunslinger top tree for pvp and bottom tree for pve. (Solar Hunter) The Ahamkara exotics for hunter are trash in D2. The spine should've given us 2 trip mines instead we got only 1 that isn't any stronger damage wise but it's a tiny bit harder to destroy.
Ophidia spathe may come into play as a good exotic. The way the exotic is labeled, it says " grants two knives per charge". As we all know, with stasis, the reverant hunter gets 2 ice knives, where if 2 knives hit the enemy freezes. Because we will have 2 charges, it may mean we can get 4 knives. This might be quite strong when stasis comes around.

Solar hunter with ophidia spathe and all the seasonal buffs to fire bolts and stuff made it pretty fun. That build does a nice job with crowd control plus unstoppable champions.
