It also takes the DirectTV a long time to log in on this particular tv as when it turns off, the green power light on the back, also goes off. It completely disconnects the box, it appears. Check that power cord is secure and free of debris on both the box and outlet side. Make sure you are not plugged into a "smart" power strip.
